Accreditations/Experience: My design career with Walter E. Smithe began in 2007.  Prior to Smithe I worked in textile surface design, invitation design, and as a retail sales manager and buyer.  My diverse design background led me to be a great match for this position, combining both my creative and people skills.  

 

Inspiration to Pursue a Design Career:  I enjoy the process of custom work and find great reward in bringing my client’s vision to reality. This requires strong communication with the vendors to produce the desired results. I love to inspire and be inspired. 

I have an artistic eye, with great color and space awareness.  I build strong client relationships, and listen closely to your needs to develop a successful plan. Functional space planning and presenting fabric collections with color, texture, and style variation is my specialty.

 

Best Advice to Clients: A visit to your home is the best tool for us to begin the process.  Walter E. Smithe offers a myriad of options for us to collaborate and create an inspirational balance of wants and needs comfortably. Together we can translate your style into every room of your home regardless if traditional, transitional, contemporary or even an eclectic mix of all three!

 

  

 

Working long hours with our own business left us little time to think about furnishing our new Florida home while living in Illinois.  We wanted to make a smooth transition leaving Illinois without any additional stress that a small business experiences during the holiday season. After visiting a couple furniture stores and meeting Priscilla at Walter E. Smithe we knew she understood our needs. And what a nice surprise to learn that that Smithe had national delivery...bonus!  

 

We wanted a more casual, relaxed feeling that had a completely different feel than our northern home.  We left the floor plans with Priscilla and she immediately went to work with designing each room to scale and gave us a great design plan. We had furniture pieces that we truly loved and she was able to incorporate those items into our design project including reupholstering a settee that I didn't want to leave behind.  Priscilla delivered that look that we envisioned! She is a true professional!  We love every item that Priscilla designed for our Florida home.  She was that designer professional that we now call our friend.

 

And I don't want to ignore how impressed we were when that Walter E Smithe brown truck appeared on our driveway at our Florida home.  Great service from the moment we walked in their showroom to the delivery men that placed the furniture in our home.  Thank you Priscilla for all you have done for us.
